 Mrs. Catherine L. Martin was born and raised in Newark, New Jersey, by late parents, James C. Hardy Sr. and Mary L. Hardy. She is married to Mr. Kevin J. Martin, they have three adult children—Ja’Quan S. Scott, Steven T. Sweeney Jr., and Daziyah P. Rosebure—and are blessed with seven beautiful grandchildren: Zo’lin Scott, Mazi Scott, Saahirah Tamia Sweeney, Royal Sweeney, Nevaeh Sweeney, Queen, and the late Sincere T. Sweeney Jr. (de ceased October 26, 2020), along with five bonus grandchildren.  Mrs. Martin is a faith believer Christian under the watch-care of her Godmother Apostle Laura Leadbetter. Academically accomplished, she holds three degrees—a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology/Education and Sociology, and a Master of Arts
